The Solar Structure

PV Solar Cells / Arrays
monocrystalline-pv-module-300x300.jpg

A typical silicon PV solar cell is composed of a thin wafer consisting of an ultra-thin layer of phosphorus-doped (N-type) silicon on top of a thicker layer of boron-doped (P-type) silicon. An electrical field is created near the top surface of the cell where these two materials are in contact, called the P-N junction. When sunlight strikes the surface of the PV solar cells, this electrical field provides momentum and direction to light-stimulated electrons, resulting in a flow of current when the solar cell is connected to an electrical load Regardless of size

In order to reach higher power capacity (higher Wattage ) Photovoltaic solar cells are connected electrically in series and/or parallel circuits to produce higher power levels.

Solar Power storage (Batteries )

Batteries are involved in several green Energy solution for instance ( Wind / Solar / …. )

Solar batteries allow to store the energy produced by the solar photovoltaic , so it can be used later when the weather hide / reduce the sunlight from reaching the panels , and in case of excess of energy those batteries can be connected to the grid and sell the energy though this grid .

Solar inverter / Battery Charger
Solar Inverter.jpg

Solar inverters are used to convert the direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar photovoltaic modules into alternating current (AC) electricity, which is used for local transmission of electricity

Solar inverter can be single unit connected to all modules, or it can be microinverters connected to each module separately, knowing that Single unit is more Economic, however at the time the microinverter enable independent operation in the event of partial failure or maintenance.

The Solar inverters essential function is to monitor and control the power going into and coming out of the battery, and it must also manage the power generated by the panel to ensure it does not overcharge the battery, and also it has to ensure that the loads do not over discharge the battery which might damage the battery later.

Mounting Structure

PV solar arrays must be mounted on a stable, durable structure that can support the array and withstand wind, rain, hail, and corrosion over decades.

These structures can be tilted or fixed angle determined by the local latitude, orientation of the structure, and electrical load requirements.
